Tom & Ebony Logue
Tom and Ebony Logue care deeply about the local church and have sought to devote themselves to the mission of God by enjoying Jesus, making disciples, planting churches, and seeking renewal.
They both were raised near the Temecula Valley. Growing up, Tom never anticipated a life of ministry. In fact, his focus was on anything and everything but Jesus. To secure the identity, acceptance, and approval that his heart desired, Tom looked to sports, then to music, then to ministry to validate himself. It was towards the end of high school when Tom’s life was turned upside down by hearing and receiving the gospel of Jesus Christ.
As someone who spent most of his life rejecting God by trying to earn an identity for himself, Tom’s life was profoundly changed when he heard about the identity that was earned for him and offered to him by Jesus Christ at the cross. Tom has been embracing his new identity as a beloved, chosen, adopted son of God every day since.
Tom and Ebony spent eight years ministering and pastoring in the Temecula Valley before they answered the call to plant Restored Church in San Diego alongside Andy & Jackie Rodgers, and Brad & Sarah Sarian in 2012. During their five years in San Diego, Tom and Ebony had the privilege of pastoring two church plants: Restored Uptown, led by Andy & Jackie Rodgers and Restored South Bay, led by Danny & Monique Quimlat. They have witnessed God turn one church plant in San Diego into a thriving family of churches. In addition to planting and leading Restored Temecula, Tom is a member of the Equipping Team that serves the Restored Family of Churches in the mission of making disciples and planting churches
Tom and Ebony live in Temecula, CA with their two adventurous daughters, Amelia and Vivien.
1. What do you do for fun?
I enjoy celebrating with family and friends, traveling, playing and listening to music.
2. What are you passionate about?
I feel most alive when I am encouraging people with who God has made them to be. I really enjoy watching people use their spiritual gifts. It never gets old witnessing people you care about living out their purpose.
3. What is something that most people don't know about you?
I have double jointed thumbs.
4. Everyone should read...
The Jesus Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd-Jones
Gospel by J.D. Greear
The Reason for God by Timothy Keller
Intercessory Prayer by Dutch Sheets
The Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis
5. What excites you about Restored Temecula?
To me, the most exciting thing about Restored Temecula isn’t something that I will see in my lifetime. I am most excited about the impact that Restored Temecula will have on my great-grandchildren’s children and beyond. The church is people. The church is the family of God. When we planted the first Restored Church in San Diego we dreamed about starting a church that planted as many church-planting churches as possible and made as many disciple-making disciples of Jesus as possible. I get so excited thinking about the family of God multiplying, the churches that will be planted, the disciples of Jesus that will be made, and the individual men, women, and children who will be adopted into God’s family and enjoy Him forever.
